Jesus never underestimated or undervalued children but saw them as, “at the very centre of life in the Kingdom.” (Mark 10v14 The Message) So here at Tab Life Centre we believe children are a vital part of the church family, and it is our privilege to walk alongside them in this awesome journey of faith. One thing we have noticed is that when the children start praising and praying in the service, God shows up big time!
Our children’s department is called All Stars, and meets on a Sunday morning after the worship section of the service. We learn from God’s Word, worship, pray, create, and play. We also like to put what we have learned into action, for example by raising money to help others. An ongoing project is raising money to buy mosquito nets for children in Uganda, through the charity House of Joy (www.houseofjoy.co.uk).
As well as meeting on a Sunday, we arrange social events such as Christmas balls, Harvest parties (Halloween alternative), summer picnics and award ceremonies.
